Some workshops will offer information from this Thursday, February 9, at the Torrejoncillo Health Center (Cáceres) for the self -care of type 2 diabetes.
Specifically, it is an activity organized by the Federation of Associations of Persons with Diabetes de Extremadura (FADEX) with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health and Social Policies of the Junta de Extremadura and the SES.
In addition, the training during the workshops will be carried out by a person with type 2 diabetes previously formed as "promoter of self -care" and has the support of specialized health personnel.

It should be remembered that Fadex is the representative body of the group of people with diabetes of Extremadura.He groups thirteen associations of people with diabetes constituted in the Autonomous Community in the towns of Badajoz, Cáceres, Mérida, Plasencia, Don Benito-Villanueva de la Serena, Llerena, Villafranca de los Barros, Olivenza, Zafra, Los Santos de Maimona, Olivaof the border, Montijo and Guareña.
Among its main objectives are to promote and develop actions to improve care quality, as well as the family and social situation of people with diabetes;enhance the research of diabetology;Prevent the appearance of diabetes and increase diabetological education and guide, inform and represent its partners before the administration.
