They file a complaint with human rights for the death of a worker with diabetes of the Ministry of Economic Development;They accuse harassment.
Before what they considered the violation of the human rights of his brother César Jiménez Poot, worker of the Ministry of Economic Development that died on December 21, Jacinta Guadalupe Jiménez Poot, presented to the Human Rights Commission of Quintana Roo a complaintAgainst the head of the agency, Rosa Elena Lozano Vázquez and the Planning Undersecretaries Rolando Méndez Navarro and the Planning Director, Julio Eliezer Manzanero Salazar.
Accompanied by several family members, Jacinta Guadalupe detailed the pressures of which his brother was subject, who was fired and then recontrolled, but what originated strong harassment, abuse and psychological pressures to force him to present his resignation.
He recalled that his brother, César Jiménez Poot, was diabetic but kept his illness controlled as he explained with medical documents, but that nevertheless forced him to work on time, which made it impossible to take care of his health.
He even said that on December 20, a day prior to his death, forced him to go to work despite his precarious health conditions.
Jiménez Poot clarified that they have not been able to dialogue with the Secretary of Economic Development, Rosa Elena Lozano Vázquez, since they are on vacation, although according to comments of the other workers he has responsible for this situation to the Planning Director, Manzanero Salazar.
For his part, Miguel Martínez Cabrera, representative of the Agronomic Association to which César Jiménez Poot belonged, reiterated the complaint that workers from several units have filed.
He said that Governor Carlos Joaquín González must review that his cabinet secretaries respect labor rights and do not use their positions to apply political revenge.
He pointed out that the Agronomic Association has registered 40 complaints of workers who are pressed to resign or have been fired but, however, there are other organizations that report more cases.
Martínez Cabrera said that they do not ask for canonjias from the current government but only respect the right of workers.
