Data from the National Health and Nutrition Survey (Ensenut) 2016, point out that in Mexico there are 25 thousand patients with a diagnosis of diabetes, but only 15 percent measures their glucose levels.

The document, presented yesterday, indicates that chronic adult disease increased from 9.2 percent, in 2012, to 9.4 percent in 2016, and although the majority reported having medical treatment to control their disease, only 15 percent had a measurementof its glucose levels in the last year.

"The results of this survey show that medical surveillance and prevention of specific complications for the prevention, treatment and control of diabetes mellitus are still far from being achieved," explains the Ensenut.
