Hello my name is Jose Antonio Flores.I have a degree in Sciences of Physical Activity and Sports, I am also a personal coach.I currently have a blog where I write articles related to physical activity and health.I invite you to read this article that I wrote some time ago.I hope it is useful.

What is diabetes?

It is a metabolic dysfunction that occurs when the insulin hormone cannot fulfill its function, affecting the collection and entry of glucose into the cell.

Types of diabetes.

Type I diabetes: It is characterized by the absolute deficiency of insulin secretion, due to the destruction of insulin producing cells found in the pancreas. Obesity and diabetes

Type II Diabetes: In this type of diabetes, the pancreas if it secretes insulin, but the problem is that due to a high accumulation of fatty tissue around the cells, insulin cannot exercise its function of activating glucose entry into the cell. This type of diabetes occurs in people who are overweight.

Alterations produced.

When the glucose level inside the cell decreases, the body demands fuel. The liver response is to release part of glucose to the bloodstream, because of this the concentration of blood glucose will increase, since it joins the one already circulates in the blood.

When approaching 180mg/dl, the kidney is going to secrete it for urine.Glucose is going to behave as a diuretic causing excessive excretion of water and salts producing cell dehydration. When this situation is prolonged, excessive diuresis, together with the loss of calories results in the feeling of thirst and excessive hunger, in addition to a feeling of fatigue.

On the other hand, the body tries to obtain adipose tissue energy, which releases fatty acids, which mostly go to the liver for gluconeogenesis, having as a product of undone an acid that will be excreted by the kidney next to the bicarbonate. This fact causes plasma pH to decrease, producing acidosis.

The combination of acidity, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance can affect the brain, reaching the coma or even if it does not solve the death of the person.

How does physical activity help?

Thanks to physical exercise together with a balanced diet, fat levels are going to be reduced, leaving space for insulin to make a key to glucose entry into the cell.

Through a healthy diet, and physical activity type II diabetes can be cured in 80% of cases.

Most people with diabetes II can exercise with certainty as long as certain precautions are taken: exercise and diabetes

$ 1- glucose concentration greater than 250mg/dl.Exercise should not be performed, because due to the exercise glucose is going to be poured into the blood and further increasing hyperglycemia, being able to reach a diabetic coma.

$ 1- Glucose concentration less than 100mg/dl, it is advisable to take fruit, or a supplement that increases blood glucose before exercising.

$ 1- glucose concentration between 100 and 250 mg/dl.Aerobic exercise can be done without problem.

$ 1- Anaerobic exercises should not be performed when glucose levels exceed 170mg/dl.

These data are orientative and each person should know and see what their levels are in which you are better.
