Would you run from Bilbao to rate crossing the peninsula?

A group of 20 runners with type 1 diabetes dares to do it on an athletic track and will travel the 1,184 km that involves the distance between both cities in 24 h and by relays.

The challenge will take place on October 27 and 28 in Gorliz, Vizcaya. The 20 runners will form 4 groups of 5 components each to travel the distance that includes crossing neither more nor less than the Iberian Peninsula from end to end (on its longest route), all in 24 hours and by relays. It is an initiative carried out by the Diabetescero Foundation and the Team One Diabetes Challenge team in order to raise funds to finance those investigations aimed at the cure of type 1 diabetes.

The program has spoken with Patricia González, organizer of this event and member of DT1 Team, to know all the details of the project.
