The Diabetes Unit of the La Paz hospital in Madrid receives the Certification of Excellence of the DNV G-Business Assurance.
Only two more centers in Spain have this accreditation: the Ramón y Cajal hospital and the University Hospital of Alicante.And, Medtronic, with the collaboration of four Spanish hospitals experts in the global treatment of diabetes and many other centers in the United Kingdom, has analyzed the knowledge of patients in the use of insulin bombs and concluded that this is insufficient.
From that need, the educational project of the La Paz University Hospital is based, through which processes, times and materials have been systematized with continuous support to patients in regards to their periodic controls and the correct management of their insulin bomb.

In fact, its purpose is to improve the efficiency of diabetes units in our country and, consequently, optimize the clinical results of this therapy.And, in his opinion, the main key to the success of insulin pump treatment lies in the proper selection of patients and the quality of the training that is facilitated to them.
Finally, the commercial head of DNV G-Business Assurance, Antonio Almódovar, highlighted the "high commitment" of the Diabetes Unit in relation to the assistance of their patients in the Bomb Program for Insulin."They have done arduous and continuous work, modifying the management of the department itself and adapting to the high quality standards required.
