In the last hours the associations of patients with diabetes of Andalusia have raised their complaints through the Andalusian Federation of Diabetes in the faceFor insulin infusion.

Apparently, the Ministry had promised that these needles would be dispensed in pharmacies as of October. However, needles for insulin feathers are considered a product of outpatient dispensation, that is, they cannot be sold in a pharmacy, just delivering in the outpatient.

The Andalusian Federation of Diabetes has been demanding an answer to this issue that affects thousands of people with diabetes.Next we replicate the official statement of the Andalusian Federation of Diabetes.

Official Statement of the Andalusian Federation of Diabetes

Given the lack of communication by the Andalusian Health Ministry, on the agreement for the dispensation of the needles to supply insulin the diabetics of Andalusia, through pharmacies as of October 1, the Federation has made the following effortsWithout success.

1.- We have tried to contact the SAS manager and with the Ministry of Health to inform us of why the needles are not taking place in pharmacies, and do not answer.

2.- The Director of the Comprehensive Diabetes Plan does not know when the agreement will begin to operate.

3.- We have called to the laboratory that has the needles that we want diabetics, and that they were giving them 2 years ago, to see if pharmacies or sas have made any request, and inform us that they have not asked for a needle.

4.- A medical magazine, in an article talking about the Agreement of the Ministry of Health and the Andalusian Federation, warns that the needles that allow insulin administration are classified by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products as of outpatient dispensation, which prevents needles from being sold in a pharmacy.

5.- Given such a cumulo of circumstances, we fear that we will be deceived by the Ministry of Health, to the detriment of the diabetic collective. It is not the first time that the health responsible for the Junta de Andalucía, look for tricks to deceive and delay the times.

6.- An extraordinary general assembly has been convened, at 32 associations to deliberate the actions that we must take to defend our right to quality health.

7.- We ask ourselves from the Federation if they have made the agreement knowing that they cannot fulfill it, since the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products specifies that the dispensing of the needles to supply insulin is ambulatory.

Are they doing the same as when they bought low quality needles knowing that they produced pain and bruises?

Could we put out the qualifying forties to these gentlemen who have the power to have the health of others with public money? What hands are we?
