Hello,

I wanted to ask you a question that is still a bit silly but well, insulin when you have to put it, half an hour before eating?A quarter of an hour before?

I know that if you are high you have to correct and if you go down you have to wait for it to go up, I mean, for example, you will get up to 120, start breakfast and click or punct you waiting for half an hour and breakfast?

I think I'm doing badly and that's why at 2 hours I have hyper ...

Greetings and thank you very much

Well, with the ultra -grapes in theory you would not have to wait, they can start acting at 10 min and the maximum peak at the hour and a half.
In breakfast you usually need more doses by ration.

Hi Dido, in the end this depends on each one, the type of food, on the departure glucose value ... is to try and sign up what is best for you not to forget.
As Regina says, it is important to know the ratios of each one for breakfast/food/dinner.Normally the ratio (insulin units necessary by ration) are higher at breakfast (there is usually more residence to insulin in the morning).

It is a very difficult question to answer as the classmates have told you because they influence a thousand factors. But insulin never takes effect at the time of putting it on and you will have an insured beak after eating but you put it a little earlier, but of course it also depends on the type of glycemic index that has what you are going to eat.

@Dido in my case at breakfast I need less insulin by ration since in the morning the basal makes me much more effect than in the afternoon ... If you do a lot of post pandal peak it may be that you lack basal ... with the insulinsUltrarapids are supposed to not have to wait since as @regina says the maximum peak is at the hour and a half ... Anyway in the morning always costs a little more that makes the fast effect ...

@Rociollinares, at breakfast I also need twice as quickly by ration.Maybe the right thing would be to do as your daughter, but wait half an hour as you don't feel like.

@Anaisabel, do not believe that with my daughter it is easy, it is a fight every day, because the ideal would be to put it as soon as I awake it, but it is still half asleep and I have to say until it listens to me.I have told her to put it on me and so she clears little by little, but she doesn't want to.

I wear it right after eating, because so I know how many HC I have eaten. If I put it before I don't know if I'm going to leave half a dish or if I'm going to repeat or what am I going to eat, but if I wear it later there is no doubt. Then, at two hours I measure me and glycemia is usually fine, but I don't know if it halfway up or not.

I depend on what I have and what I will eat.I usually arrive between 80 and 100 to before the meals for what I try to put it after eating but if it is the case that I arrive high, I put it on it and I wait ten minutes.

I put my daughter together with the basal in the morning and then breakfast, because it is the food that does best and to avoid peak, even if it raises it equally almost always ...
In the rest of the meals I hope to see the rations that is eaten to put it more or less, unless I arrive very high then I put it before and I try to make sure that I eat enough HC

I normally punish myself and how.At breakfast, I have to wake up quite before to avoid the "mountain" that makes the insulin late to take effect than what like.Anyway with the toujeo it seems that it does not make me so much peak, this matter has improved.

Then yes, I am low, like and in the middle or after the food I sulked.

I think you will notice improvement with respect to the lantus @rociollinares

I improved a lot having half of hydrates last night but I still wake up high, although before with Lantus I woke up much more. With Toujeo I see that the unstoppable increases that happened to me with Lantus although they have breakfast 40 minutes later do not occur.Toujeo slows that climb and anyone who passes throughout the day, is as if it were "there up" and as soon as it reaches a limit says still !!!And blood glucose begins to go down.It is surprising, much more stable and does not make as many saw teeth as the lantus

Even so, the best thing for me would at least would be the bomb, that of running and I have to take a glyc up at 30 or 40 misery minutes burns me a lot

Before using Dexcom I punctured me just before eating if I was taller, and after eating if I was lower. Now I am trying to prick before, as half an hour before, and in the morning there are days that I have not seen peak, Yupii, but only a few days Jiji. For example, I get up, shed, take a shower, dry my hair, look, and it has been half an hour, and I once see that it starts to go down, then breakfast. The problem is that sometimes I have no half an hour in advance, or because I go with hurry to eat or have breakfast ... then the peak does not take it away from me.

To me.That's why I try to wear it an hour before breakfast and I see that something begins to download is when I start to eat.But it only happens to me at breakfast, then not, it takes me effect immediately, it is curious, I will have a very large resistance in the morning or I know.

First of all, you should know that Insulina prescribed you and you are applying, each type of insulin has its action times and peaks. From what I suggest you consult with your doctor to tell you the times.
When you follow a fixed -calorie diet, there are no steep climb and descent, since the prescription doses are adjusted to the calories you eat.If you do not have a diet, you will not be able to be at opt at levels, you will always have to be checking your levels before and after eating and making the dose settings. It is extremely tired, I tell you from experience. So I recommend that you better, go to the nutriatic, you give your diet with the calories you need and the doctor adjusts your insulin levels, otherwise you will always be with hiccup problems and hyperglycemia.

Greetings.
