In Mexico, more than a thousand cases of diabetes are recorded daily, which means that there are about 400 thousand people with that condition, who also in several cases also have hypertension.
Luis Alberto Marroquín, local deputy for Tulancingo, explained that these discomforts are chronic, that is, they can only be controlled, but that will eventually cause the deterioration of the person's quality of life.
“That will imply financial problems, which will impact families who have a relative that will have to be treated by the condition, and even the health care institutions themselves, which will not be able to have enough resources to serve the populationaffected. "
They even had to be removed from the popular insurance catalog the hemodialysis tests, since the financial burden did not allow to move forward with the attention to those who required them.
Marroquín, who expressed desire to preside over the Health Commission in the State Congress, said he will present a proposal to carry out campaigns that prevent such conditions.
These actions will seek that the population mainly change their eating habits, since the average Mexican diet consists mostly in the intake of food with flour and corn, in addition to fat, factors that predispose to suffer from diabetes and hypertension.
However, there are also genetic factors that can influence the presence of these diseases, so the deputy is committed to the population to make medical checking a custom to prevent these and other sufferings.
also seeks professionalization
The legislator said in the same context that he will seek that health services are professionalized, to raise the quality of support to the population.
"We need to guarantee users of medical services that will have decent attention, so I will be looking for the professionalization of health services."
Finally, he emphasized that he has prepared agenda in this regard, which will present as soon as the commissions of the Congress of Hidalgo are in charge.
