I often see messages from people who appreciate the help they have achieved in the forum, however, and although it has been working for years (17 years already!), I had never occurred to me to ask explicitly for how the forum has helped you.
So here is the proposal, I believe this issue so that everyone can explain how the forum has served for their personal case.
I will start by saying that it has helped me to realize that I am not alone, and that there are many people in my same situation and from which I have learned everything that today is about diabetes, so thanks to all those who havemade possible !!!

Uffff my mother !!!!!Neither my family nor I, who am the one I am here, will never have enough words to thank everything that this forum, I like to say all the people who form this forum, have done for us and especially for my daughter.
I still remember the day I found you, just over a year after a few days of my daughter's debut.I still remember the tears that sprouted from my eyes when I decided to introduce myself. The reception, your encouragement, your advice, your infinite help as soon as a question arose ... ... you have been our hope, our light, during this year you have been our educator in diabetes, and as @Fer says, knowing thatWe are not alone, that there are people who understand what we are happening.I cannot say everything, but almost the great part of everything I have learned from diabetes has been thanks to you .....
You are great and I can only thank you for what you have done for us, and it is power to offer my help to who can .... Millions of thank you all !!!!!: x

Well, I found you by chance reading articles. And this forum has helped me a lot to understand my body, how it behaves and interpret its signs.
I do not feel alone and many of you are as my diabetic family, pity I have not met you for another reason other than this disease.
It is a great help when there are no answers, nobody knows how to understand you as the one who has the same as you, as one feels, impotence and also of course, share the achievements.
Thank you very much to the founders and to all who contribute to this is still alive.

In my case I also found you reading articles and news and looking above all a forum or blog about hypothyroidism. My body was totally out of control because of it and was mired in a total depression (mainly for not having controlled the thyroid) and suddenly I found you.In my case you have helped me above all to be aware of all the news and advances regarding diabetes, the new meters, the new insulins ... the first time I heard of a continuous meter was here and I had to rubThe eyes because I couldn't believe it.Apart from that, as you say, knowing that there are a lot of people in your very situation and that you can understand what you feel when you fail to control glycemia, when you have a sugar down ... I also loved to see what there arePeople who have been in diabetes for many more years than me and still have a good quality of life with hardly any complications.Among all I think you do a great job and that's why I give you all my congratulations and my thanks !!

Well, I have been with a previous forum for so many years, when I was very distressed with my daughter, it was the time of change to Lantus and, thanks to the advice of a girl of that forum, I found the time of Lantus that weHe changed his life and my daughter could go to study outside without a risk of nocturnal hypos. Thanks and he took away my anguish and my life began to be totally different, because I found people who taught me a lot and who lived a lot of years with diabetes and without complications. That forum ended badly, but I still have great friends from there. So, when I found this one, it seemed to me that now it was I who could help parents who started and keep learning and updating all the advances. It is a great luck to be able to communicate in this way and always feel that you are there.A strong hug!

I have been enjoying your company for a short time, but the sificent to realize that I am not alone in this, that there are many people who want to help and many people who know a lot of diabetes and that they are the ones who can help you best to solve theDoubts, fears, etc.
Thanks for everything. A hug !!

For someone like me who hides the 24h disease and hides to make normal life, it is great to come here and see that I am not the only one with this conviction, to be able to read more people with your same problems. And help in what you can.
It is a good escape route.

As in my work many times I have to be clear, concise and very direct, because that, that except for the 4 "toupelots" that enter this forum to do business and sell their miracle products, the rest you are "the host ..."
Greetings to all.

I from time to time read things but little about diabetes on the Internet.Once, when I had a very punctual doubt, it entered a forum called Diabetesjuvenil, is that the forum to which you mean @regina?Although I did not participate as I have come to do it here.
How has it helped me?I can say that 85% or more than I know is thanks to this forum.I learned something when I debuted through the educator (which were 3 or 4 visits) and then as I continued with the same endocrine of social security but through insurance as I paid, because I no longer saw the educators again. With which, however much the doctor will not be able to be equal to what you learn in this forum

Yes, @Joseludi, that is, no longer exists., but I met people who helped me a lot and with whom I still speak. In the end I don't know what happened, there were people who collided.
Here we all get along very well.

Even if I knew a lot about diabetes, you always find out about new things and especially the support of one and the other, and the rapid response when a problem arises.
Help me ..... Much, especially with my son, support is fundamental, seeing more people like you, and being able to help them TB is going very well.

I discovered the forum a year ago by chance, looking for information on insulin bombs because I had finally managed to include my daughter in the next "overdame" of Hospital Firefighters.
Thanks to the forum when we started the program of initiation to the management of the bomb we went with the duties done because we had already learned more or less that the subject was going. And most importantly, once they put the bomb, I could contrast experiences when it began to have problems with the dubbed cannulas, pump stack mistakes etc.
Here I discovered the existence of the oblique catheters and thanks to everything that I read about them I could insist on the hospital until my daughter changed the straight cateters for the Silhouette (oblique), and the damn bent canulas were finally finished.
I always continue the forum although I almost do not write because now I am very linked, but I thank you for all your contributions and your company, the help is huge and I have found friends that I carry and I will always carry in my heart.THANK YOU.& GT;: D<& GT;: D<& GT;: D<
