Eduard Punset and Dr. Ramón Gomis act as drivers of an online training in Road Movie format, developed by Grupo Saned and aimed at health professionals, which has official accreditation.
The Boehringer Ingelheim and Lilly Alliance in Diabetes has launched an original online training program so that health professionals expand their knowledge about type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2).The format chosen for diabetes on the road is that of a Road Movie, a novel teaching system developed by Grupo Saned, which consists of four stops, each of them being a topic of crucial importance in the treatment of this disease.
During the trip the students travel part of the Spanish and Italian geography to visit seven clinical experts: six Spaniards and one Italian.The journey is carried out by two exceptional partners: the scientific disseminator Eduard Punset and the director of L’Egilos D’Estion Biomèdiques August Pi and Sunyer (IDIBAPS), Dr. Ramón Gomis.The initiative seeks to update knowledge about this disease between the medical group to improve the diagnosis and treatment of it.

Diabetes on the road consists of four stops: individualization of the treatment, optimal approach in pluripatological patient, effectiveness and safety and, finally, approach to the patient through an improvement of adherence to treatment.
The journey in each of the stops begins with an introductory video of Eduard Punset.After this first video, Dr. Gomis's interview to the expert is displayed.From here the student learns at his own pace with the material provided: monograph, 3 clinical cases and a video of the ESIC with guidelines to improve the approach of the diabetic patient.At the end of the stop an evaluation test is performed.The overcoming of the test is necessary to achieve accreditation.
