Well, summer finally arrived, and our first summer with diabetes, the surprise that every time it bathes in the pool or beach ends with hypo, that you have to do, I have to be every two by three taking out the girl from the waterTo look at the sugar, the first time as I did not expect it, it had a hypo 28, of course that in those bathing moments the girl does not realize because she is playing, luckily it was the time of the snack but I would have scare would have given us.

Well, or do you pretend when and how much you are going to be and you put less fast and also lower the basal or you have to increase rations.Better the first, between heat, pool or beach exciteOr failing that and even some fruit is fast, it assures you scares.Uffff with 28 glycemia is already to be scared and although the girl was playing, I doubt that she was herself in fullness, with this glycemia one does not know where she is, or what she says, you head tells you to eat and you do not reactAnd losing consciousness can be a matter of seconds, if it is also in water it is a great danger.

Hi Rosi, my Tambien happens to me, I think it is a mixture of heat and physical activity, what I do is eat more hydrates and seeing how I will reinforce, but I try to start in 200 because otherwise I am already with hiccEven so, I will look again at that average, I am usually in 120 going down, so that it touches everything sugary, Cocacola, a pair of cookies and back to the sea ...
It is true that free helps a lot in this

Yes, of course, when he stopped that he sat then, it was when he began to find himself bad saying that he had a lotHe noticed anything.Well, from now on I will take it into account before the sugar is killed in the water and giving it HC of slow absorption.
Thank you so much

@Rosi This is a friend, it is what has the water that seems to go down glycemia. It happens to me the same, what I do is measure myself before getting into the water and if I see that it is fine-little I take a zumito or something. There is no other than to be measuring from time to time.Greetings and I hope it's going great!

Give it a cookie before the water, in the water we move much more and without realizing it, it is normal, I would give it the cookie and then when you look to snack if it is necessary to rectify and if it is low that it mends more, it ispreferable that it is with 180 that this fair, because as you say, the downs are not noticed until it is not too late.

Hello everyone!I was investigating and I found this forum!I wanted to please if you know the answer you helped me because I no longer know how to face this ... I have 39 and I have reactive hypoglycemia since I was pregnant (I was gestational diabetic) and now they have told me after 3 years from my pregnancy and suffering reactive hypoglycemia thatI am prediabetic and that I control my diet so that these hypoglycemia do not give me ... I have already been able to understand my body and I control them with food but I have taken a bath in the pool and I think it has been the changetemperature (I have left the water with cold) because it has started to lower my sugar loudly ... is the second time that happens to me ... Is it possible that sudden temperature changes influence?Because I have not done any exercise in the water when I am with the little one ... and I am a little bewildered ... can anyone help me?Is it for temperature change?Thank you

Hopefully! With the temperature drop, glycemia lowered, I would get even in a puddle instead of putting insulin.

I think it has been a coincidence.A coincidence.I guess you will wear sugary drinks for those cases, or sugar, glucose in envelopes, etc.
