Four Extremaduran children will participate in the V Diabetes CUP Spain, a football tournament that will be held on June 18 and 19 in Madrid and pursues the social normalization of diabetes.
In the appointment, organized by the Lilley with the endorsement of the Spanish Diabetes Federation (Fede), 80 Spanish children between 8 and 12 years throughout Spain participate.
Of all the participants in the first phase of the contest, Alba, Javier, Paola and Sara will travel to Madrid and represent Extremadura, being part of the 10 teams of eight players who will play the championship, Fede explains in a press release.
The tournament will take place at the official headquarters of the Spanish soccer team.
Since its first edition, a total of 1,200 participants have been registered, of which 320 have competed in the championship.During the competition, children will be under supervision by specialized health personnel, so that the "feeling of independence" of the participants is encouraged and "security" is contributed to family members.
