Hello everyone.First, congratulate you for this forum.Despite being diabetic for 18 years, I had never participated in such a website.I have read many of the posts, and this exchange of information seems very enriching.
I was diagnosed in 1998, at 8 years of age, diabetes and Celiaquia.
I am a nurse and mental health specialist, a profession that has helped me to give things the importance they have.
I use Levemir (16-0-14) and Humalog (4 at breakfast, and food and dinner depends on hydrates.
Welcome to the @laudl forum, we really love to read of people who after a while using the forum without registering, decide to take the step and do it! It is the best way to help yourself and others!
Please ask what you need, and given your experience, share what you know !!!;)
My wife is celiac and my child type 1. I like to know that you are a nurse. It encourages me to continue fighting day by day.You are a good example to motivate.
Padre de Jesús. Bomba insulina y dexcom g4 share. Debut con 18 meses....ya con 7 añitos...Hemo entorno a 7....y mucha lucha diaria.....ya sabéis..poco dormir y bastantes miedos....pero mi niño es feliz luego yo también.
Thank you. I think that with diabetes you can do the same as anyone. With drops, sudden ups, limitations when eating around ... but you grow with a discipline and self control. And you learn to give everything the importance you have :)
Welcome!!! You don't know how I'm glad to read your words !!!As a child's mother with diabetes, I think what worries me most is her future, and knowing about people who have managed to have an acceptable life, I can't say normal, it fills me with hope.

That your daughter is diabetic does not mean that she cannot get what she intends.I have studied, I have traveled, I have practiced sports, I have enjoyed life. And now, remembering those moments, the dose of insulin that I administered does not come to mind, but how good I felt.Baches along the way there is always, but remember that "we must not wait for the storm to pass, but to learn to dance in the rain" All the best!
@Laudl welcome to the forum, as they told you as a question and share everything you want, everything is learned and even the most minimal help is always welcome.I love the phrase you put :)

Hello, and welcome. When did you become celiac? How did you realize?
And for you who is worse?Being celiac or diabetic, is that they tell me that TB celiacism is quite annoying, but of course I see that they neither puncture nor weigh food.

Hello! It came out at the same time. When debuting as a diabetic they made analysis to rule out other autoimmune diseases, and I got the positive Celiaquia antibodies.
Without a doubt, diabetes requires more discipline, sacrifice and attention. But "in the hospital, everyone feels their evil." You get used to eating gluten; you have it in mind at all times of the day All the best!
Hi @laudl the truth that you are an example to continue with your way of seeing things and your experiences.I would like to ask you some things: - What attitude did your parents have before diabetes? - And in school? And now a more technical question.I have a two -year -old diabetic girl. What dairy do you think better for her?I say it for the issue of calcium in children and that ... I do the milk of the semi (for the fats) and the normal yogurts and once 0¤/¤
