Hello everyone.First, congratulate you for this forum.Despite being diabetic for 18 years, I had never participated in such a website.I have read many of the posts, and this exchange of information seems very enriching.

I was diagnosed in 1998, at 8 years of age, diabetes and Celiaquia.

I am a nurse and mental health specialist, a profession that has helped me to give things the importance they have.

I use Levemir (16-0-14) and Humalog (4 at breakfast, and food and dinner depends on hydrates.

For a week I am a user of the Free Style sensor.

My last hemoglobin is 6.9.

Greetings to all!

Thank you.
I think that with diabetes you can do the same as anyone. With drops, sudden ups, limitations when eating around ... but you grow with a discipline and self control.
And you learn to give everything the importance you have :)

That your daughter is diabetic does not mean that she cannot get what she intends.I have studied, I have traveled, I have practiced sports, I have enjoyed life. And now, remembering those moments, the dose of insulin that I administered does not come to mind, but how good I felt.Baches along the way there is always, but remember that "we must not wait for the storm to pass, but to learn to dance in the rain"
All the best!

In the end @Fer you go to third to create a hunting team because they reproduce like zombies, do they have nothing else to do?That pity that they did not have to suffer it.

Hello, and welcome.
When did you become celiac? How did you realize?

And for you who is worse?Being celiac or diabetic, is that they tell me that TB celiacism is quite annoying, but of course I see that they neither puncture nor weigh food.

Hello! It came out at the same time. When debuting as a diabetic they made analysis to rule out other autoimmune diseases, and I got the positive Celiaquia antibodies.

Without a doubt, diabetes requires more discipline, sacrifice and attention. But "in the hospital, everyone feels their evil."
You get used to eating gluten; you have it in mind at all times of the day

Hi @laudl the truth that you are an example to continue with your way of seeing things and your experiences.I would like to ask you some things:
- What attitude did your parents have before diabetes?
- And in school?
And now a more technical question.I have a two -year -old diabetic girl. What dairy do you think better for her?I say it for the issue of calcium in children and that ... I do the milk of the semi (for the fats) and the normal yogurts and once 0¤/¤
