Hello good, I wanted to make a query because lately I have detected strange behavior with rapid insulin.I put the units 15 min before eating and while it takes effect the values are within the threshold recommended by my endo, but as soon as the effect is passed, I have a rebound effect and upload, go up and upload why yes.Rapid insulin is supposed to be used to metabolize rations that, as something fails me in the last two weeks in all meals: breakfast, lunch, food and dinner, the snack also but I usually exercise later and burn the rise peak.
At night, two or three hours after dinner I am inside my threshold (120 mg/dl) for the effect of insulin but at dawn the blood glucose begins to raise the highest peak around 6:00.
Look for the levemir values in which you get up well and do not have those climbs, I think it is because of the basal (Levemir) that you put on.Consult it with the endocrin@ or the educator@ ..
Be careful because we don't know what you are eating, what kind of HC.Nor do we know if you take the same at night as at noon, which is not usually the same.

Well, I usually follow this guideline: 3HC Breakfast + 2ud fast 10:30 Levemir 2 You 2HC Lunch + 1udida 3HC food + 2 you fast 2HC snack (I don't get here) 3HC dinner + 1 or 2 you fast according to glycemia before eating 22:30 Levemir 6-8 UD according to glycemia when awakening.
And as I told you for two weeks, I run out of the quick and start going up at all meals at 4 hours.
Last night I put 7 of Levemir and this morning 3 units at 10:30 and I am better, I have also lunch 1.5 HC instead of 2HC with 1 UD Rapida. I'm going to try little by little, let's see if I stabilize. Thanks for being there.
