My name is Francisco, I have been reading these days and I have decided to introduce myself and thank you for all the info collected.
A month ago I was detected DM1 after a general analytics that I did (I had not had any symptoms) and ... surprise!High sugar. From that moment on, the analytics is repeated and sends me an analytical to see the GAD, Pepido C, etc.Until the results had to take Novonorm, 1/2 - 1 - 1/2.
Yesterday, visit the endocrine again and then see the results of the analytics confirms what doctors believed, I have lada diabetes.Since yesterday I suspended Novonorm and at night I started with insulin, Basalglar 6 units every 24h.
So far my little but intense path in this new world, assimilating it.
Thank you very much to everyone and delighted, I will often continue here!

Hi Franky enchanted to greet you, I have a question, since they have diagnosed you, do you inject quick insulin?slow?Have you been able to withdraw oral medication? Thanks for your help. Greetings
diagnostico final: sindrome metabolico. HG: 5.8 OBJETIVO ALCANZADO Y SIN INSULINA !!!!!!!!!! ahora a intentar mantenerse en estos niveles !!!!!!
Hi @boucles
- I am injecting slow insulin once a day, 6 units. It is called Basalglar. - Yes, from the moment they saw that I had Lada, it took approximately 3 weeks, stopped taking oral medication and I only put the insulin since the pills did not make any benefit if I kept taking them.
Hello again Franky, As I told you, I am aware of the diagnosis of Lada, but I am from your thought, to my so much oral medication does nothing to me, well if side effects that I don't even tell you !!!!!, at the moment they withdrew Lantus and Victaza and nowI am with Toujeo, that if I have added 3 pills a day, Galvus and Jardiance. Let's see what endocrine tells me on Friday, but it will be the first time I see her. With the theme cuts I have been waiting for more than a year and a half, the head of the header always takes me, but it is very lost !!!!. I have also asked for an appointment in a private endocrine, to have a second opinion. It is my health and I have to watch over it !!!! Thanks again, happy day :)

Hi@Boucles they told me that it was lada but first as they did not know they treated me with metformin pills and they sat me fatally and as I had to put insulin because everything was hypoglycemia. When he first saw the endocrine looked at me antibodies and said DM1.They withdrew my pills left me alone with insulin and everything started to do well. I tell you why I see that you are waiting and that the medication does not feel very well. When you see your endocrine, you will surely look to make you a good diagnosis. All the best.
@Boucles as soon as they saw that I was Lada, I took my pills, Novonorm, they were called. Has the endocrine taken time to give you meet?Yes, it is still interesting that you have a second opinion.I did it too and both doctors agreed. Surely everything is going well and you leave doubts! Greetings.:)>-
Hello Alicia Indeed, when I was with Lantus, I also took metformin and Januvia, I have come to be admitted to the pain and browse that I had. When the Januvia was removed and some metformin I improved a bit of the stomach and my glucose levels remained the same. At the same time I worse, they give me hyper morning and I arrive at the right dinner. Therefore, I have changed to Toujeo, Galvus and Jardiance (oral that TB have side effects), the thing remains the same, morning and correct hyperglycemia when dinner. These ups and downs are tired, they make me sleepy and exhaustion.Under my modest point of view, I would withdraw oral medication, less slow and fast insulin when necessary, but of course, the decision is of the endocrine, to see what it tells me on Friday. My doctor told me that the endocrine was not in favor of prescribing rapid insulin. But I wonder ...................... If you still don't know what kind of diabetes I have !!!!!!! Thanks Alicia I'll tell you all the best

Thanks Franky, if I am even excited to have an appointment for a second (private) opinion And if, in three years that I have been insulin -dependent, I have never seen the endocrine, always to the header, I insisted so much that they scheduled and took me more than a year (sec. Soc.)
The only thing I want is to have my controlled levels, since I am striving and put everything on my part, at least see results. It is frustrating not to get them when you put all your efforts. My goal would be an HG of 6.

@Boucles What community are you from ???I don't understand how they take so long to see you.You do very well to go to a private one if they take so long in the S.S. Here in Madrid they take you to see only a few weeks or less.
I am from Barcelona and here to meet you with a specialist and more endocrine, the first usually is around the year and a half and that if they consider it necessary, but the head doctor takes you. Anyway I have informed myself and tell me that as soon as I see me this first time, as much would not visit me again after about 9 months. It's shameful !!!!!
@boucles is right @aliciaalicia should not spend so much time.As I understand we have to have many controls to raise or lower doses depending on the levels you have when you take it with the glucometer, analysis to see the HG, etc. Go to a better private doctor because endocrine visits cannot be delayed so much.Surely everything is doing well and you leave more relaxed.I encourage @Boucles and well, to all of us who go through this.
