Hi Calolu.If there is a sweetener very similar to sugar, it is called Tagatesse, it barely has calories and both flavor and texture is very similar to sugar. My son (type 1) has been using it for more than three years.I do all desserts with it. I buy it in the Association of Diabeticos or in the Pharmacy. I hope it has been helpful All the best.

Hello, for desserts the best is the one indicated by Juani, the Tagatesse, in terms of flavor is the least artificial and endures above all the heat.Other sweeteners, bitter when they are cooked at high temperature.
I sometimes use the aspartamo that sell it in the Mercadona, but the other is better.
I use Stevia powder, which I buy in herbalism ...... knows much better than in drops and is practically zero calories ..... you throw a teaspoon to the yogurt or strawberries and know practically as sugar ...... the only paste is the price. It costs me about 12 euros the boat of half a kilo ...... but it is really well achieved !!!!
