The City Council supports the birth of AMADI in order to improve the quality of life of people with diabetes.

The Councilor for Social Services of the City of Ancient, Columba López, has met with the president of the Majorera Association for Diabetes, Monserrat Martínez Alonso and the social worker of Amadi, Fatima Bolaños Ojeda, to establish a common work agenda aimed atthe information and prevention of diabetes in the municipality of Antigua.

The Amadi association was born in 2015 with the aim of improving the quality of life of people with diabetes and raising awareness among the population in prevention.

We want to organize in the municipality with the collaboration of the City of Antigua, says Monserrat Martínez, personal improvement workshops, training days, coexistence for children and adolescents, and talks with specialists.

From the Department of Social Services we have transferred our commitment to support all these actions either with their promotion or facilitating the rooms, audio and sound or infrastructure equipment they need, says the councilor.
