The National Institute of Diabetic (INADI) and the National Institute for Piscussion of the Magisterium (INPREMA), signed on Wednesday, an inter -institutional cooperation agreement with the purpose of carrying out health brigades for the benefit of retired teachers.
The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the INADI, immediately from the San Felipe de Tegucigalpa General Hospital, by its director, Johana Bermúdez and the president of the INPREMA, Ernesto Emilio Carías.
Carías indicated that his interest in the agreement arose because 70 percent of the 16 thousand retired masters suffer from diabetes, so efforts are being made to have a more active participation in the health of their affiliates.
For its part, Dr. Bermúdez said that this agreement will help the promotion of preventive campaigns aimed at reducing risk factors that generate incidence of chronic noncommunicable diseases.
It also seeks to promote education about good nutrition and adequate preventive medical control that leads to the early detection of diabetes and the consequences of disease poor treatment.
Inprema's commitment is to cooperate with INADI staff regarding the logistics necessary for the development of their talks and prevention activities nationwide.
