The Spanish soccer team coach, Julen Lopetegui, has sponsored this Sunday the fifth race and popular walk for diabetes and expodiabetes 2016.
The sporting act has meant the climax to the celebrations around the World Diabetes Day, organized by the Association of Diabetics of Madrid and the Diabetes Foundation.
The race has had the participation of some 4,000 runners distributed in the different modalities of 10km, 5 km, walk and child competition.
Lopetegui, accompanied by the journalist Emilio Pineda, has been in charge of cutting the tape and giving the gun of exit to a test that aims to raise awareness of the importance of sport to fight this disease.
