Good afternoon,

I'm going to do with diabetes a year and a doubt has emerged. In the hospital they usually give me the needles of 5 millimeters (yellow box), which happens that this time they have ended before returning to the consultation and I went to the ambulatory nurse and gave me 4mm (green box).

What is the difference ??Is it better with one or the other?I punctuate the novorapid (arm, gut, leg) change once a day.And the lantus in the ass once a day and change every 3 days.

I have been with 4mm for a week and just today after eating I had stopped and in case I had something to do.

Thank you very much in advance.

If the needle is very small, it is not necessary to catch pinches and can be put vertically. If it is 8mm or more it is better to take pinches and should be injected at an angle of 90 or 45 degrees.

The injection zone does influence the absorption of insulin, the needles if you inject well, no.
