During yesterday afternoon the first psychology workshop for relatives of patients with type 1 and 2 diabetes was held.

The activity was organized by the municipality through the Ministry of Health, together with the Association of Support and Dissemination of Type 1 Diabetes in Villa María.

It took place in the Municipal Middle Library around the axis "Life, between the organism and the body".The room was complete of people.

The talk focused on the issue of the feelings generated by the diagnosis of diabetes in the patient's family group and will be in charge of the psychologists Laila Alcala and Victoria Becco.

"The psychological part is as important as the other part," said one of the organizers, Jorgelina Dimensa."The idea is to see how it affects us as parents, as patients, from the diagnosis onwards, that was the trigger," he added.

And he said he did as a trigger to "count and meet."

Well, it would not be bad that these psychological talks include here too, because apart from the diabetological education the emotional part is important. In my family we have touched us all and some are already going to the psychologist, one of them, although in this forum I also do a lot of group therapy :)
