Given the large number of people with diabetes on the border, personnel of Multidisciplinary Centers of Diabetes de México train doctors of the Ministry of Health.
One in six people has diabetes in this region, so they provide a workshop to health sector personnel in Tamaulipas to improve medical care for people with this condition.
Mexico Health Authorities initiated the teaching of the course "Model of Diabetes At Stage" so that employees are more prepared to provide the medical service.
Joel Rodríguez Saldaña, director, said that this disease has a high statistic in this city and warns that it will not decrease in years.
He said that this training is shown the stage of nutrition, physical activity and finally diabetes education, to prevent the disease from getting out of control, as well as the medication and insulin they must use.
"Each person was given a quick diabetes guide, where everything they need to know to classify a person with that disease to assign the medication and review it," he said.
The workshop is intended for the general practitioner to solve the problems that cause the disease so that the patient can find an opportunity treatment and avoid the second medical assessments.
The training is aimed at doctors and nurses of the different medical institutions belonging to the Secretariat, such as hospitals and health centers.
