Around 1,650 people participated in the first family walk for health, organized by the Queretana Delegation of the Institute of Social Security and Services of State Workers (ISSSTE), which is intended to pay the fight against diabetes and arterial hypertension.
According to the head of said agency in Querétaro Sergio Blanca Pérez, 11 percent of the right -of -support laws affiliated with ISSSTE, suffers from one of these diseases, so the need to promote physical activation exercises is denoted.
“We have a high index of diabetics and hypertensive in the ISSSTE, the fourth part of our right -holders are oldwork of the right holders who are sitting most of the time, eat what they can when they can and want to foster this (exercise), ”said the delegate
In this regard, he celebrated the large participation of the first edition of that walk, while thanking donations of various organizations with which a raffle was made among the participants to liven up the closure of this sports day.
“Fortunately, around 1,650 people participated, and we gave 200 balls, 200 cylinders for water, three bicycles and a screen, but note that nothing was bought by the ISSSTE delegation, everything was donations of the right -holder unions, that speaks ofThe good relationship that exists.In addition, the water for hydration was donated by the UAQ, ”said Blanca Pérez.
For his part, Maurino Morales García, general secretary of Section 24 of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE), expressed support to any activity that is organized by the ISSSTE and above all that pays for the improvement of health conditionsof citizenship, and especially the sector it represents, which gave, occupies 80 percent of the register of affiliates to the Institute in reference.
