Samson against Goliath?

Hello everyone!

My story began very recently this last September 1 due to a medical work exam which I must perform every two years in mutuality and determines my physical ability to face different situations that arise in my work ranging from performances on 3000 metersOn sea level, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, etc.
I make a mea blame for this and I recognize that I am very responsible for the consequences.I sweetened my tea or coffee with three and sometimes up to 4 tablespoons of sugar because already putting two tablespoons, I did not feel the sweetness. He drank up to 5 liters daily of soda or juices (juices), but all sugary. He also ate too much and never did it at the corresponding schedules and always accompanied during the day by chocolates or cookies.
I remember that two days after doing my job exam where and on the occasion of my work, we had to supervise some polls in a mining project located in the middleA liter of water that I had to get with some workers.I had forgotten my water provision and despite this I decided to continue my homework.
The effects the next day did not wait.My lips reflected dehydration and although accustomed to it for similar previous occasions, I had to add some novelties that had never happened to me, my tongue and my oral walls were dry and rough. The same thing happened with my nasal and tear cavity.I had no headaches or any other relevant symptom.
The next day I had to face myself in the first hour in mutuality for rigor exams.Obviously, fasting and with the proviso that both the electrocardiogram, the blood and the detection of alcohol and drugs, are performed first and for the remaining ones you can already ingest some food so is that once done, I went to the vending machineAnd I palpated my appetite with two soda and a package of cookies. At about noon, my review had already ended and I should only wait the next day, the laboratory results and the subsequent labor authorization by the doctor.
I was a little far from my home so I decided to enter a restaurant, when I was inside it, I began to feel a slight tingling in my hands. But I did not pay attention, I looked at them only when I was already eating and noticed red spots on my buds and palms, not even spots, they were more similar to insect sting because when touching them with my nails, I felt hard but with enough sensitivity.I related it to the hands detergent that I used in the sink but was still ignorant of that.
The next day, I received an email from the mutual indicating "worker without a history, presents basal glycemia of 294 mg%. Evaluation and management is requested. It must return with certificate, standardized glycemia and glycosylated hemoglobin under 7%. Control withspecialist".
That news was a total surprise, from my work medical controls that began in 1999, I had never presented some kind of alteration that would cause incompatibility with my performance, but in that exam that I performed in 2013 I already accused a total cholesterol of 213 (40 - 146) and a weight of 102 kg.
I had no choice but to visit my doctor.Known for almost 30 years and whom I met thanks to volleyball, my favorite sport par excellence for 10 years since that time and then tennis, with this last one I finished all sports activity 2013. Friendship prevailed and that same doctor to which I came to which I came toSometimes to request some certificate that would allow me to evade certain labor commitments or manage anyMedical recipe for me, for a relative or for some friendship. Now I had to visit it for something real.
He attended me that same day that the mutual informed me the results (September 1).I taught him my hands, he read the report that I showed him and said: _ Diabetes, but I did not be alarmed, I have had very worse patients than you and now they practically make a normal life, even some without needing medicines.Only of the same responsibility_
Help joked me: _Ahora I want to see you, you will have to make an extreme diet for ten days and then I will derive you to a clinical laboratory to determine what parameters we face.I have been experienced in this for years but you will have to show that you are a better doctor than me simply to turn a turn now, to your lifestyle_
There, my first metformin appeared (at noon food or lunch).
While the results of the exams showed a decrease in the values, the only rescued was the value of insulin in 10uui/ml.Therefore one more metformin for dinner.Date of the next clinical exam: September 24.
Product of this last exam, the results were more encouraging but gave rise to a third metformin and atorvastatin when bedtime (I had set aside thinking that it could cause some effect due to metformin).
I allow myself to teach them the comparison between the results at the time of detection and the current ones:
The results of said exam/ Total cholesterol 255 (34 - 159), now in 220 (40 - 155.9).A weight of 114 kg, now in 90 kg distributed in my 1.80 tall.
Apart from the walks that I now do regularly and after three years of absolute sedentary lifestyParameters still high which I hope can be stabilized. My next exam will be on October 19 and after two days I will visit my doctor. My current medication consists of 3 metformin 850 mg (breakfast, food and dinner) and a 20 mg atorvastatin when bedtime. The rest has been total rigor in what or I drink added to a giant willpower considering how accustomed the excessive good table and especially sugars.
And by the way, I met the Tea time in mid -afternoon accompanied by some toast. Before and at that time, there was no space in my body even for an almond.
With respect to my hands and in this whole period, I "suffered" the change of all the skin starting with the calluses that I had a product of work and sport. The hardness of my yolks due to years of playing guitar came out as if they were covers or how to remove the lid from a pen. Those red spots disappeared and the skin began to get up comparing a burst blister but without taking off the peel, so express it.With my feet the same thing happened, they hurt me and the tingling was immense after having walked; My calluses were also much more noticeable due to the constant use of safety shoes. Now both my hands and my feet look healthy and soft and despite some wounds that I caused to manually accelerate the change of skin, they could easily close.I had the same experience with the regeneration of new tissues. Now when writing this, I regret not having taken photos, very few would believe how my hands were especially seen and how they are now completely healthy.
I hope I have not bored with this story of what has been until today, my experience regarding this disease.MaybeSomeone else is experiencing it or has gone through the same.Maybe it can help someone and at the same time with your experience, serve my own help.
A affectionate hug and thanks for the patience to this reading.

Cordial greetings.
