The registration period is open until May 20 at a price of 500 euros and 450 euros for the "Adezaragoza" partners who have been registered at least one year.
The general objective of this initiative is to provide diabetological education that allows adequate and correct independence and autonomy with respect to the family, without this autonomy representing any personal or health risk, all in a relaxed, summery and integrated environment in a holiday activityand free time.
In addition, the activities that will be carried out in the camp are aimed at the acquisition of skills such as injections in all correct self -analysis areas or techniques;to know the composition of food and rations, mainly of carbohydrates;to the calculation of intake based on physical activity;to learn the adjustment of diabetes treatment;to integrate self -control into everyday activity, and this in self -control;To show the little ones with diabetes that are not the only ones, that there are other people of the same age with diabetes and to provide parents and families for a few days of "relaxation".
The health medical team consists of four specialists in pediatric endocrinology, and two nurses-educational, also specialized in children's diabetes, the children's hospital "Miguel Servet" in Zaragoza and the Barbastro Hospital.
