Within the framework of the “World Diabetes Day”, the Society of Metabolism and Heart, as well as the Clinical Research Unit, will carry out the first large athletic race of 5 and 10 kilometers that will run on November 14 in theCoastal area of the port of Veracruz.
"We run for a life without diabetes 5 km and 10 km" intends to raise awareness of how dangerous diabetes can be, because it is the second most important cause of death in Mexico, after cardiovascular diseases.And his incidence for 2013 could be doubled, according to reports from the World Health Organization.
Diabetes can cause blindness, non -traumatic amputations, renal failure, cardiovascular diseases (heart and cerebral infarction).
The race will begin at 8:00 for athletes who run the 10 kilometers both in the manly and women's branch, while the departure for those who travel five kilometers will be at 8:30 am.The place of departure and goal will be in the flagg.
The registration will have a value of 300 pesos, which will cover the delivery of a commemorative medal of this first great athletic career to all runners who reach the goal with the official number within an hour and 30 minutes following the beginning.
Registrations have already started and are open since October 19 with four venues: Veracruz, Xalapa, the Federal District and Mexico, where competitors are also expected.
