Havana, Oct 12.- The experiences in the study and treatment of endocrine diseases will be exposed at the IX Cuban Congress on Diabetes, which will meet in the capital of the island from November 11 to 13, and will bring together more than 300national and foreign professionals.
Dr. Francisco Carvajal, president of the Cuban Society of Endocrinology and the Organizing Committee, told the AIN that the forum will also host the III International Symposium of Diabetes ALAD/Cuba (Latin American Association of Diabetes).
Carvajal said that in both appointments, based at the Riviera Hotel, professionals and specialists in the host country, Mexico, the United States, Spain, Dominican Republic and Sweden, they will deepen the integral treatment of the diabetic child, the interdisciplinary attention of the diabetic foot and theNational program of that disease in Cuba.
Other themes will deal with integrated physiology, obesity and metabolic syndrome, the relationship between that evil and pregnancy, its prevention and therapy with stem cells, the treatment and the acute and chronic complications, said the titular and merit researcher.
Likewise, the international use of Heberprot-P therapy and its main results and projections are included, and on psychological well-being and vulnerabilities associated with diabetes mellitus.
Dedicated to World Diabetes Day, on November 14 the forums will be honored with the presence of Dr. Félix Manuel Escaño Polanco, of the Dominican Republic, president of the ALAD, who will give a conference, among other personalities of that organization.
The professor who will previously meet eight courses, which will be held at different hospital facilities in Havana and a post Congress symposium at the National Institute of Endocrinology will be held.
