The Catalan Primary Care Physicians will have a new opportunity to up to date their knowledge about type 2 diabetes mellitus.Around this disease, as well as develop medical knowledge and prevention, diagnosis and treatment capabilities, to avoid, thus, the micro and macro complications of diabetes.
The platform, designed with the support of the MSD pharmacist, is made up of four blocks: in the first the prevention of diabetes is addressed from the experience of De-Plan-Cat;the next two on the approach of the diabetic patient and the pharmacological treatment of this disease;and the last, with the presentation of clinical cases.
The program, which will be available from October 1 and will last 25 school hours, will have reviewed clinical practice guides for this harmonization process and the elaboration of recommendations, which include the identification of the points of agreement and discrepancyamong them and their resolution by consensus of a group of clinical experts and external reviewers.
