Hello.I have read many posts here and many answers are based on allopathic medicine and I have not seen any natural remedies- except the one I wrote about green juice.I would like to open the subject because it seems very important and see if I can help someone, and if others can enrich me with their experiences and knowledge.
First the problem.It is common to read or listen that diabetes2 is growing.And the question is and what to do to avoid growing and for those who already have it, avoid their many degenerative effects?
Diabetes2 seems to be associated with hypercalical consumption, particularly simple carbohydrates and sugars, and sedentary lifestyle.In my personal experience, heems perfectly in the profile.Many years of junk food, little exercise and a lot of stress.Diagnosed with insulin resistance, prediabetes and diabetes.Ha!Now that I have diabetes openly gave me the coconut that I do not want to follow that path of blindness, amputations, heart attack etc.And from there my interest, like the rest of those here, in all the tools that can help me control and improve my health status.
I started with Janumet and I was happy because "I could eat everything", but I also started to educate myself about diabetes - from different approaches and realized that this was a safe recipe for the disease to advance.Medicine becomes insufficient and damage continues.
I greatly reduced food consumption, particularly sugars which was a huge fight because the brain did not warn me when I was satisfied, and the desire for sugars was very large.I was surprised how little I could eat compared to the great previous dishes and the chopper all day.I started regular exercise and stayed with metformin alone.
I discovered the green juice (a particular recipe that has sat me very well) that added to regular exercise and medicine have maintained stable prediabetes.A hypocaloric diet has been important (I do not count the calories, it is that consumes of vegetables and fruits, replacing flours and others).It is a fight.Discipline is required.Doing those things the blood pressure is in 78/115 or 80/120, the sugar in 110 on an empty stomach and less than 140 post -transial, while when I abandon, my glucose and blood pressure rise again, and unpleasant symptoms return.The wonderful thing is that doing those things I'm quite good!
I suspect that blood sugar is a symptom and should not be what treatment, but should go to the cause.I suspect that when the sugar is already high the damage is done: the pancreas had to work too much and lost the battle.(or the liver) and is a pancreas that will last less.I am almost 60 years old and I would like more years of good functional health.
I'm looking for herbs and proven foods to help.For me the green juice for example, it is not something that people say, but it is very proven that glucose and high pressure lower me and that gives me other additional palpable benefits.
Well, that is my personal recipe: dense nutrient and hypocaloric food, regular exercise, fasting green juice and until now metformin, but I started trying diabecon.
