The Suggestic company will launch in January 2016 the restricted access phase of an application for people with type 2 diabetes in Mexico and the United States, where patients can change their lifestyle and thus reverse the disease.
The chief executive officer (CEO), Víctor Manuel Chapela, explained that technological innovation uses artificial intelligence to send suggestions to the user through notifications and custom alerts.
The recommendations will modify the eating and exercise habits of the patient, the Executive said in an interview, who added that the platform will be available first in Android and iOS system.
He indicated that to carry out this phase, the company summons people with a diagnosis not exceeding five years, who do not have complications and who wish to control their illness, to register on their website.
Once the 10,000 volunteers who will participate will be selected, they will receive a kit with two sensors: one of movement and another of cardiac pulse, as well as devices to take saliva and blood tests.
These patients will be done DNA analysis as well as intestinal microbioma;A psychological questionnaire and the instructions will be given to download the application, said the co -founder of the firm Shai Rosen.
The idea is that all the data are integrated so that based on that information, the platform constantly is updated, since the program is not fixed.
The program involves the psychological component because it is very difficult to change habits and lifestyles, so that this information will allow the platform to decide what is best for each patient.
With the system you can know "if the person can make a change of pit and if that is easier for him or has to be a gradual change between one food and another," Chapela said.
The differences will make the system work for each person and the way to transform the lifestyle is easier. The creators prevent that the entire community can be launched for the third quarter of 2016.
In turn, the product officer in chief (CPO), Freddie Seba, said that one of the benefits of this platform is that it provides the user “all the necessary tools to have more information, support and control to deal with and overcomeall the challenges that a condition like this has ”.
