Hello:
Someone has used the BG Star glucometer the little one that connects to the I Phone that is very mono but gives me results that differ from other glucometers at least 30mg compared to Contour USB, One Touch Ultra, Accuchck.I am a nurse so I can access so many brands. This is pretty but I don't know if very reliable.Someone has happened to the Sanofi Laboratory and is the largest that makes graphs and allow you to put pre and post and pass the results to the PC and the other that is minusculus and allows you to pass the results to the I Phone.Online you can see.

There are always differences between 2 glucometers, compare it as you compare it.

To start because not everyone measures the same.

Check the specifications of each device.
Some are sensitive to certain enzymes of glucose dehydrogenase and others to others, such as oxidase glucose
Some is designed for venous blood and another does not.
Some affect more than others the volume of the sample and the speed of "filling".

ISO 15197: 2003 regulates how glucometers should measure, all current ones comply with the standard.

At this point the new ISO should have left, much more strict ... but it seems that they are taking their time.

Yaiza1, we have said it 28262828 times: we must not compare eesults, because they will never coincide.

I have the Ibgstar for more than a year. They gave it to me from Sanofi to check it.And honestly, I think it is a great device.I will do a review in my association's blog.

As I have been able to inform me, company sources, it is expected that towards the first quarter of next year (2014);WL IBGSTAR will incorporate a bolus calculator embedded in the app that manages the device and is installed on the iPhone.
Excellent news. The day that function goes on the market, that will be my perfect device. At the moment, it is the only thing to have the outstanding one.
