I just jumped a message "TRANSMISOR BATERIA BAJA" what rage !!!The G4 issuer has only lasted 9 months.
How much is lasting to you?
From now on how long does the transmitter last?
Has someone happened to the forum ya?

Hello ... I think the G4 moves by those durations for what I have seen, from 8 to 11 months, the truth is not much ... the Seven Plus lasted 2 long years. It is the price to be paid for having a greater scope, price on the other hand, that I am not willing to pay (it is an imposition).

All the best

Hello everyone! How lively this thread is ...
Gala, our son also has a good eruption, as if it were a burn.We had to remove the sensor that worked perfectly (although luckily I had 12 days). We realized because it began to suppurate at some points.A Christ how the elliptical mark of the dressing in the culete has been.
One question: did you use an adhesive wipe before placing the sensor? We have placed the new directly because we believe that can be the reason. In principle that of the sensor should be hypoallergenic.
@jconegar: The cicaplast is to cure irritation or is it something to prevent it from applying before placing the sensor?

The only protective product I have found to apply it before placing the sensor is the cavilon ( Link but its effect is limited to a maximum of a maximum of a maximum of72 hours.

Andrés the cyclast is for irritation is slower because it does not carry corticosteroids but I have proven that he cure, perhaps if you want it to heal quickly it is not worth it.

Hello ... if you use an adhesive before ... care, may the cause possibly.I tell you my experience with an American adhesive called Mastisol, it is fantastic, if the Apit is detached, you give it and catch it like an ance, itching, hard skin ... Even in my eyelids I began to chop the allergy that gave me ...
So that any extra that is put on ... if it can be the cause.Maybe another person is doing well, that depends on each one.

Thanks for the answers.
The adhesive wipes we use were those that Novalab sells (tic-I don't know what).
I hope that is the reason for irritation. If it were the dressing itself, we would have to stop using the dexcom irremediably.

Hello aaandres ... summer is more prone to those rashes, sometimes we scratch ourselves unconsciously, etc ... It is not uncommon for the adhesive itself to cause it, but I believe that more for this (scratch), and in your case, in your case,I think it could be the wipes, which does not mean that they are bad (mastisol is also sold and there are people who use it), but with the combination of heat, etc ... it can cause it.Let's see if you are lucky and solve it by stopping by the wipe.

greetings

I had not put anything before the aposty what yes, that the previous sensor had taken a month out of the same place and it has surely been because of that because the area was already sensitized.
For those who allergy the glue, we use nineteen before Apiito, which forms a protective movie
At the moment the new sensor is not giving me any problem, I cross my fingers ...
To me from Novalab when they brought me the Dexcom, I asked them to try the adhesive wipes and they told me that 1st tried without anything because the very strong glue used to give allergy problems, so @aaandres if it is easy to have been that

@jconegar, if you have lasted only two days you can return it and they will change it for another without any cost.
It has never happened to us, but from the beginning they told us that if anyone lasted less than a week they would replace us for free.

If it is not indiscretion@jconegar, how much will the "grace" of the transmitter be?And if you catch you with a new sensor I imagine that will give you another, right ??

@Renoca I do not mean the sensor, I was referring to the transmitter, who told me that since Sono the first low battery alarm lasted 7 days, thankfully I did not care and made the transfer and request it as soon as the alarm jumped, whatFrom the sensor theme I owe a cane to @gala who told me, those of Novalab to me had never indicated that issue.

@Gala Bueno with VAT € 371.80, already included the discount for being the second sensor, if it is the first time I think around 400, I mean the first one you buy.Well it has been a bit of juggling because I have been put in the back, I have removed the transmitter opening the eyelashes with the few nails that I have, I have put the new transmitter and to calibrate, the fucking thing is that I have forgotten to put the new numberAs a transmitter standard on the receiver and the receiver has become silly, I had already thrown the box, so I had to remove the transmitter again, look at the number that carries recorded and record the number on the receiver and repeat calibration.
Remember you whenever you will change the transmitter to put the transmitter number on the receiver. They don't give you another sensor, you have to do carefully and change it.

Good, I am Jose, I have been with the Dexcom G4 since February 2013 and the truth is that it is wonderful, especially in the indications of trends since it helps you to foresee with sufficient above the ups or downs, the sensors often last me some3-4 weeks, the inconveniences, the price of the sensors (€ 93) and the size of the sensor+emitter, to prevent it from taking off I use an elastic bandage and a 3M aposty to protect it.

greetings.
