Not because supposedly as there is no insulin pushing the cannula is not emptied (it was a question that had and asked the commercial and told me not to be missing). But what I do is a cannula fillI fill in cannula) they also told me that when I disconnected it, I would not suspend it so I would not forget to connect it and that insulin spending was not going to be so big.

I refer to the cannula, which is the Teflon tube that is inserted under the skin (in our pump there is an option that puts full of cannula that must be filled after taking out the needle that the cannula introduces you under the skin)It can also be programmed depending on the infusion set model. Mine The cannula is 9mm so 0.5 units.
I fill the cannula because sometimes when I disconnect the pump, to change my clothes for example, I see that air enters and disconnected full cannula until I see what is insulin and when to fill the cannula I connect again. In any way I ask theCommercial if after each connection /disconnection (unravel /hook the cannula pump without removing the body's cannula) you had to fill cannula and told me no.I think this had already commented before.

Well, today I put the Accu Chek Aviva Combo bomb, and the nurse told me that when I connect to the canula (which is what is punctured in the skin to understand us) I made a barley of a 1 unit to fill it.
What is not very clear if you have to do it in each Canula change or in each disconnection/connection?

I had Roche's bomb and called them on the phone and they told me to make a barley with the catheter connected to the 1 unit cannula, always to change and when I disconnect it for the shower, in the face of doubt, q tb it showed it, with the primer when it reaches 1 unit to give the "OK" and start the infusion.

I have the Roche's and when I change the needle what I do is put a unit.I would be afraid to do the barley because as our finger goes, I think I have it co -configured so that between 20 units. The roll is that then the meter calculates you as if you had put an extra unit ...
