Hello!
I would like to know your opinion about CAMAPS and the YPSOPUM bomb (advantages and, mainly, disadvantages because the advantages I think +- I am clear).I come from another closed handle system with which I was very happy (Diabetloop) but they will withdraw it from my hospital (and for what I understood from Spain, but this was what I understood from the endocrine, I am not sure).
The bomb as?I have Roche's stroke and it hasn't done badly ... so I understand the YPSOPump is smaller?Does anyone know if you can get wet?I do many aquatic sports, if one could undoubtedly be a great advantage for me.
What do you do sports, how are you doing?Hold the cannula? And the Campaps algorithm for the sport that such?
And for what I understand, do you manage everything from the mobile?Or do you have to take a command +?Is it with any mobile?Does anyone know if you would officially with any smartwatch?
Thank you so much!!
Hello
@acac.The pump "YPSOPump" is controlled from the mobile (on Android, I think there is no iPhone iOS app).It is very small (8.7 × 4.6 × 1.6 cm) and can be wet (Ipx8 depth 1 m, maximum 60 minutes), but it will not help you do the sport with it on the mobile. The glycemia is not shown in the pump.It carries an AAA battery that lasts a month. The cartridges are 1.6ml and some insulins are made with this format that you use directly without preload.
Install the app "YPSOPump Explorer" to physically see how the bomb is: Link
The "Freestyle 3" (also with Dexcom G6) sensor sends glucose (10 min. Delay with respect to blood pull) to the "Mylife Camps FX" app, and it sends the dose (basal and corrections) toThe pump. The pump is "dumb", the algorithm is in the app, although from the pump you can supply insulin manually. The bowling are put on the mobile and he sends the dose to the pump.
I came from "Medtronic Minimed 780g" and this bomb did not corrected me (a target) if I was high, very slow and conservative. On the contrary,"YPSOPump" is much more aggressive in corrections.Look at my previous comments in this same thread.
In automatic mode the app has two complementary actions, the "Boost" (more aggressive in dosing by medication) and "Ease OFF" (more conservative for soft sport or walks). In the bolus administration, you can correct the dose before sending it to the pump, which did not have the Medtronic, you can even manually insulin without leaving the car mode, which is very comfortable.
In general it is a very complete system and good product. For me the app is very good. But each person is a world and what is doing well, another is doing badly, so until you try it you will not know if it is worth it.

I hope you have clarified some doubts.
