Hello good..
I have had this error on 2 sensors in a row, with the previous one I tried to activate it 3 times and after waiting the corresponding 3 hours I changed it.And after waiting 1 hour this one came back to me.The application comes up again to start it and counts the 60 minutes again.

Thank you and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Edit: The third one I have used does not have NFC working (I have tried several old ones in case it was the phone and it detects them without problem).Let's go for 4th, today I'm not even asking for them to score well, I'll settle for them to start.😓

From the message it gives, it would seem that it is not finding the interstitial fluid. But who knows...

Hello good..
I have no idea, but yesterday was exasperating, the sensor I had on woke me up asking me to replace it when it still had almost 2 days left. And then 2 sensors with that error and a third that was not recognized by the NFC (as if the sensor did not have a battery, in fact they asked me for the complete applicator).
I don't usually get upset about these things, but there came a time when I was even nervous about not knowing if I was doing something wrong.
@Sherpa41 thanks for the trouble.

Hi @BaradDurr,
First thing: breathe. What you say is very frustrating. When we depend on the sensor to make decisions and suddenly one fails... and another... and another... the feeling of insecurity is enormous. And even more so if he wakes you up at dawn telling you to replace him when he still has days left. That throws anyone off.
With the FreeStyle Libre several things can happen when this type of repeated error appears:
- Specific batch problem (more frequent than it seems).
- Poor insertion (sometimes the filament does not fit well in the interstitial tissue, even if you make it perfect).
- Insertion area with little tissue or more movement.
- NFC communication error (more rare if it works with older sensors).
If they have already ordered the complete applicator, Abbott surely suspects a manufacturing defect.Me in your place:
- I would call technical support directly (if you haven't already) and write down the batch number of all failed sensors.
- I would ask for replacement of all of them, including the one that failed prematurely.
- I would change the insertion area (if you always use the same arm, try the other or a slightly different area).
- In the meantime, I would temporarily return to capillary if necessary, to regain peace of mind.
And something important: you are not doing anything wrong. When several fail in a row, it is almost never the user's fault.
What your message does reflect is something that is often not seen from the outside: emotional exhaustion. It is not just “putting on a sensor.”It is depending on it to sleep peacefully, to know if you are going up or down, to not live on constant alert. When it fails, it's not just a device that fails: your safety net fails.
That is why this forum is so important. Here we understand each other without having to explain why a technical error can end up making you nervous.Sharing it, as you have done, already helps others who may go through the same thing.
Tell us how the fourth sensor is going.I hope this starts well and gives you a break.
A big hug 💙
