@RuthbiaHave you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the freestyle App to try to recover Bluetooth?(history is deleted, but not on the web)

And yes, now I no longer feel strange, in this sense, in the forum.

But it coincided with the enormous increase in the price of the strips on Amazon. With a drop in my salary and I wanted to start sports. The demon of Diabetes always knows how to choose the worst moment to screw us over.

And a question, when several fail you.Do you order them one by one on the Web or do you have to call Abbot?I think I will order 3, because I used the one that marked -50 for about 12 days and the one that deviated on the 12th, I continued using it until the end.

Tomorrow I have to change the sensor and I have to put on the last one I have left of the "normal" ones, the ones that don't start with 301

I'm a little scared because, at the moment, only about one of each box of eight they send us fails.

Starting with the 301, I don't know how the issue will go, apart from losing the comfort of not being able to view the glucose on the watch, etc...

Does anyone know if Abbott plans to do something with the new versions of sensors or will it continue to leave us stranded in the face of danger?

They are like the dog in the garden, which neither eats nor lets eat.

If they are not capable of offering calibration and support like other apps, at least stop messing around, we are risking our health.

Yesterday I started the last "normal" sensor that I had left and I'm crossing my fingers because the good people at Diabox will solve the problems with the 301 sensors in the next two weeks

Today I collected 6 Abbott sensors and the nurse told me that in Madrid they won the Dexcom contest and that she likes them better. They are more reliable.

Good morning.

I have to purchase a new terminal since it is the first time that they are going to put the diabetes sensor on me and my question is if anyone has theXiaomi Redmi 15Cand the LibreLink FreeStyle application works fine on this device.

It is curious since in the list of compatible phones previous versions 12C, 13C, 14C appear but the 15C does not appear, having NFC and the Android 16 operating system, which is supposed to be what is needed for it to work.

Does the terminal have to appear on the list or do phones with the same characteristics also work?

Thank you very much for your response.

All the best.

Abbott works with any versionAndroid.

It is the NFC that limits the reading, but few phones do not work with the sensors.

Well, I add another problem, and that is that I have to scan the sensor because no data is reaching the mobile. This has happened to me on 1/2 of the last 10 sensors.

Yes, what has happened to Abbot is that it has not been able to maintain quality control while increasing production. It is quite common in a highly technological industry, with highly complex products and processes, as is the case here.

In my experience, as I said once in this forum (and it was deleted), the Libre 1 worked great and doubled, with almost no aberrant points, the glucometer readings.I made 2 comparisons, one in 2016 and one in 2018, of 2 sensors = 1 month each;I still have them there on my laptop.

Then they moved me to Libre 2 and, at the end of 2022, to G4.The Libres failed a lot, about 25% in number, so I ordered them from Abbot and they sent me a new one.But in time, they didn't fail that much, they normally lasted at least 10 days, so 10 days I won. When they gave me the first G4, I had 6 or 8 brand new Libre 2s.During 2023, I wore those sensors at the same time as the G4.It was very useful, because the G4 failed practically 90% of the time, and was out in 5 days. For example, I went on trips with the 2 positions, and that's how I managed with the Libre 2 when the G4 died.

But almost every time I observed that the Libre 2 scored very low compared to the G4.For me, a significant deviation is more than 25-30 mg/dl.Then, I checked with the glucometer, and the result was very systematic: the Libre 2 marked low and the G4 remained very close to the capillary.

I haven't used Libres again, but the G4 is still pretty accurate the times I've tested it.And the issue of failures has improved somewhat; Now out of the box of 5 many times only 1 or 2 fail.

In the Reddit forum about the 780G, I have read that the Simplera works more or less the same as the G4 and the Instinct (the Libre adapted to connect to that pump) also marks as low as the Libre 2. I don't know anything about Dexcon.

Normally the Bluetooth is fixed if you uninstall the freestyle app and reinstall it.But you lose the history.

Although so many sensors are failing Bluetooth, it's not something on the mobile...

Lately they disconnect a lot.

I turn off Bluetooth and the mobile, when I restart it reconnects.

I have 3 Abbotts left and I'm switching to Dexcom.

Yesterday another sensor failed.

In total there are now 5 of the 6 in the box.And there were different series, both 301 and 302.

It doesn't make much sense or logic that in 3 years they all went well for me and now suddenly they all go bad for me.2 did not start, 2 scored incorrectly and the latter stopped working after a few hours.

Unless the area where I put them on (thigh) is no longer suitable. It is true that it is already full of internal fat deposits, the skin is white and lumpy and they hurt a little when I put them on.But I can't stand wearing them in other areas (arms, buttocks or belly). They stick into me at night and I can't sleep.

@Sherpa41, you will have to let that area rest.Try to look at another because it is rare that they fail you so much.

Yes, the one I put on my left leg yesterday didn't have much hope, it's terrible there and they don't start me straight away and even though I put it a little higher, it hurt me when I put it on and it also failed immediately.

In the area of the right leg there are still some small "good" places and some sensors work for me, but I don't think it will take long for everything to be screwed up.

Come on, I don't see this thing about sensors as something that can be used for many years.Especially if you only support it in a couple of places.

Test on the arm or upper gluteal area.

I don't know why they have to nail, it may be your feeling.

Let's see if you fix it.Greetings !

In 2014 when they came out I only put them on my arm and I couldn't sleep for 3 or 4 months because of that pain.In the end I ended up ripping them off to be able to do it.(it also influencesI have a very hard spring bed).

And I stopped wearing them for many years because I couldn't stand that.Until I discovered that you could put them on your thighs.

And the gluteus also squishes very hard at night.

Well, I'm going to disagree, because I can't complain about freestyle (lately).

This morning.

I just did a haircut and it was 114 (the free one was 119 when I did it).I remind you how IMPORTANT it is to wash your hands before doing a capillary. As you touched a fruit...

I think that many of the problems you have are from putting it on non-certified sites and using different applications.Like when people reused old dexcoms every 7 days and they did the same thing a month later.

At first I was also tired of waking up at night with "fake" hiccups. But I have already been improving the placement so that that does not happen.

That's why I was surprised that there were so many complaints about the 301 series, because it's doing much better for me than the previous ones.

On my thigh, in these 3 years they marked me like a movie, nailed to the glucometer.I didn't understand the complaints either.

But the area has already been screwed up (it's also where I take my insulin). And I guess the interstitial fluid no longer circulates well there.

I don't write more so as not to make myself annoying, but I don't understand so much complaint with the Free, yesterday I put on a new one and this morning it gave me capillary 94 sensor 87, which I don't see as bad, that doesn't mean it's always like this, but mostly because of sport which makes it a lot out of adjustment, but both the capillary and the sensor. As for the 301 series, it also works well for me, but that doesn't mean that some of them don't come off and fall, and even others failed me a lot. I think this one was my fault because I didn't tighten it enough when placing it. As for what Sherpa41 says, I've only placed it at the top of my arm, always alternating both and never placing them in the same place. I lower and raise them to keep it away from the last puncture, but that's what I think.Everyone will do it, in short I am happy with Free, also when it comes to claiming them for some circumstances that it is exposed to, they do not take long to replace them, well, greetings and may everything go as well as possible with this blessed disease

@Sherpa41 insulin must be rotated so that the fat that dissolves it does not become necrotic.

As for the sensor, you will have to use another area, it is a matter of getting used to it.My arm, the only one I used there, hurt a lot.In the broken glute, right, left, and then in the horizontal I go more towards the center or outside, up or down. They are large areas and in 10 years I have it good.I don't notice it here because there is a lot of fat and skin that cushions the filament.
