Hello everyone!

I've had type 1 diabetes for over 20 years, and like many here, I've struggled quite a bit with sensors coming off prematurely.Over the years I have picked up some tricks that work for me, and I share them in case they help someone:

1. Clean the skin well before putting it on.I clean the area with alcohol and let it dry completely before placing the sensor.Clean, dry skin grips much better — if there is oil or moisture left, it comes off faster.

2. Put it on for a while before you need it.If you can, place the sensor a couple of hours before (or even the night before if you have to change), so that the adhesive "seats" well on the skin before exposing it to sweat or friction.Freshly put on is when it is easiest to get up.

3. Reinforce with a patch. This is what has changed my life the most, especially for the shower, sports or when you sweat.A patch on top holding the edge makes it last much longer.I always put them on my grandmother, who is also diabetic, and they haven't come off since then.

And you? What tricks do you use?I would love to read yours, as you always learn something new from this.

Greetings 🙂
