MyLife YpSOPump insulin bomb

Cassie's profile photo   02/10/2023 11:23 a.m.

Hello!!

I have received the news that the YPSOPump bomb will put me very short, which is associated with the Dexcom G6 or Free 3 sensors (so I have been able to read on their page), and I wondered if someone here was wearing it and whatexperience had ...

From what I have investigated it seems that it is the smallest and light in the market, in addition to being intuitive .... Any opinion?

Greetings,

Hi Cassie,
I already use the Ypsomed bomb a year ago, it is a fairly small bomb and as you say, very intuitive, nothing complicated.I am very happy with her and not only for the bomb but for the attention and help that the people in charge give you.I give you a ten.
In the last consultation with the endocrine he told me that they were going to put the closed handle system with Dexcom, so waiting for the day to arrive, because they have told me that I will be very happy with the system.

@Iledia I have been since February 20 and I can't be happier. It has been a before and after.I am participating in a Ypsomed study with three more girls and we are going step by step, first I could only handle it manually, now I can manage the bowling from the phone and in September they put the closed handle system with Dexcom or free 3(They still don't rule it out).I have had to pass a 1 hour formation approx. To use FX camps (the algorithms system) with which they give you a code when you overcome it to be able to use the closed handle system. One of my educators is diabetic and also uses it, she has told me that when the bomb goes with algorithms it is to freak, she does everything alone, that if she was happy with her now, then she is going to be bestial. So mood that your day seems to be approaching ... any little thing you have me here ...;)

Closed ASA systems are at the moment the best treatment that exists for type 1 diabetes.
I have found this article that is very hopeful:

@Ricki21 Yes, they have told me that it is the closest thing to having an artificial pancreas.Correct the climbs if you have not made a good carbohydrate count, it has boost function for the days that the blood glucose is triggered by a disease, it has a prediction of descents and she alone cuts the infusion of insulin, .... I do not carry it that wayEven and it seems to me a pass, there is an extended bolus that seems that it is perfect to my digestion ... before with what meals it was to inject myself and went down to 10 minutes. Now I wear that for half an hour I am injecting in small quantities the same bolus and no longer happens to me ... incredible what this apparatus helps.

I am in the same situation as you, with the bomb since the end of December, with the study in 3 phases.
Now I am handling the pump from the mobile and in principle at the end of August they put us with the algortimo Camaps FX and do not see what takes that moment.

N My Cas0, I had one of Accouched that was fantastic. There if I forget the diabetes and with good control. Now I have the YPSOUSP and I don't like it so much.

Cannulas that take off for sweat.
Impossible to calibrate because the dexcom withdrew my strips."Already having a sensor, so you need them?"I released me.DG6 sensor is good, little error compared to blood, better than ACCU, but some leaves that fails and without strips to verify.

If there are delays or supply problems, I have been more than 10 days without a sensor or without a pump.Ale, paperwork so that in the Medical Center they give me some strips "to endure, to measure me before sleeping at most" and injections.

You don't stop being aware. The algorithm is the algorithm and is generic. Each person is a world and we have an activity and I have to be every 2x3 pump in hand putting more insulin or going down.Putting % temporary that is called. So what to forget about diabetes or it ........ Little or nothing if you have varied activities in your work or your day to day.
Take out and calculate that you are still standing for a couple of hours at work, without activity, to see how much I upload in a temporary basal dose.120% in 2 hours? In 3?or better 150% in 1 hour?
or vice versa if you are going to have intense work.

In the ypso no pile is worth it.I take a brand, it is not worth, I return to the supermarket to the other brand either. You flame and tell you that you are buying them in the Chinese and those do not work, hear me, which are supermarket and nothing.Ah, it turns out that to protect electronics over tensions, any battery is not worth it.Great when I work out of my area and I need.Let's see which are worth.

On the beach or the pool, you carry it in a pocket, or on a runner tape. You are going to get wet, disconnect and water. The only thing that can happen to you (at least with the ypso, is that the cannula takes off: with the accu that never happened).

When they asked me, there was not much option, but like everything else, they were better. Now there are more manufacturers.Everyone has run to get into the car.Think that the hospital will have selected based on what the medical visitor offers and not the best. They took me with the one I started, overnight because they had precisely changed the contract. That is why they took me to get spare parts and so I have come to throw more, not 10, but 20 days without spare parts. But that I had to protest and move to at least have strips.

Oh and you will need to change a high -end mobile with the Ypso, since it barely operates from the mobile with just over twenty models of just 4 brands, since YPSOPump's handling is through the same pump along with aApplication that serves as bolus calculator. But what was said, the application works with 4 poorly counted mobiles.
In addition the Ypso does not directly link with the DG6.You need another app to "read the sensor" that is not just combined with many mobiles.
The reason is that there is a European regulation that does not allow the use of mobile as a medical device, although in other countries outside the European environment if YPSOPump can be handled from the mobile, and seen what I have seen that it is a matter of time that can beUse here. But for now, for what you have to load, if they give it to you, with a kind of command. In my case just as great as a phone. So now I charge more weight. My personal mobile, the work and adding the pump control.A larger bag and a mobile recharge side at home

Today I am thinking very seriously return it, because nothing helps.I asked to return to the old one, but chance, they told me that it is no longer manufactured or spare parts.
This is my experience so far with the bombs.I hope it serves you.
PS: I do not recommend it.If I lied,Imagine them.My father is already crazy (77), who is also diabetic and insisted on putting a sensor, with the free2 and the mobile to put a pump.As he says, "there is no better indicator than to listen to what my body tells me in each situation."Because having specific moments, he has taken diabetes to Rajataba with a lot of discipline.Salu2

@"Moñiño" I already read a post of yours and it was this style ... the truth that he knows badly that you had such a bad leg with this bomb, because from my short experience with her I cannot be happier.I have released it in pool and in beach and the cannula has not taken off or anything similar. In fact the cannula sometimes even costs it for the change of kit;I use high pants, low, socks, skirts, I have touched it with everything and does not take off. They have told us that by using Dexcom they will not remove the strips. In fact they give me two boxes monthly.Batteries?I use Varta, the same brand that comes standard and is not a ruin, but we are going that if you put a Duracell type brand with face and eyes, it sure works perfectly ... ah!And they have already sent me 3 boxes of kits for the whole summer.
The application (until now) I have been using it with a mid-low-end mobile and without any problem.I already read you at that time that you thought about leaving it, but I see that you still continue with it .... something good should have ... you tell us too?

>

I just have the canula of yesterday, hold with tape (I turn more than the average and every day I go to the gym. Some cannulas endure others no.) But with the accu I did not take off the cannulas

It is not paying batteries, it is because any brand is not worth it.I live in a small town and the little super does not complicate bringing."models because 2 or 3 to chooseI hit me, it was one that was also díbetico.

My Redmi mobile does not work the APs.In the work either. It is a cat.In my wife's either, a living. In fact, the other day without further ado, the mylife bowling calculator pump and I am very silly or does not work something because impossible to connect them again.Even following the steps of the manual.

I have not left it because they have not yet summoned me in the hospital. From after the pandemic, in addition to changing my pump they changed my endocrine.Attention by phone and point since then. For h or b, they cancel the appointment.Another factor that adds to this wave. This is how healing (at least in c stain) I have to go in July.

Now I carry the pump as a continuous injection device. No algorithm, without communicating with the sensor ... as a continuous injection system.I calculate everything, as it was done before and ........... Oh, surprise! I am better controlled than ever.
Every day I create my father more.Better sensor than the body of one is not, and better treatment than the experience either.
My older sister, also diabetic since the 3 years, have offered her the bomb a thousand times and a thousand times has rejected her.
And what envy gives me the 2. A quite good control.
I tried because for my work I have a lot of variability of efforts, tasks, days, trips ...... with the accu, well, acceptable, but the ypso does not endure my rhythm. And I believe that the bomb, the same diabetes, must be adapted to one and not vice versa. If diabetes must condition my life in a high percentage .......... Turn off.I would be living a life but I would not be living my life.I will not stop doing what I propose just because it is diabetic.I'm going to do it despite being.I will not give up just because it is diabetic.
That said.In bad time I changed the first bomb I had. There I said like you.I am very happy, very happy. The change?Well worse. The same that has never had another model before ...... I can compare and horrible the ypso.
Thanks however for your Cassie lines.

@"Moñiño" because it seems to me that your philosophy of life is the one that every diabetic would have to have, I do not know if it is still a scarce year and a half, but today I stop doing many things for the happy diabetes, Ioverwhelms that certain things escape to my control.Let's see if you are lucky and your endocrine returns the bomb that I was doing so well .... I guess living in a town also makes you have limitations, of course and what works for one, like everything, for another not. Here in Barcelona there is no problem with finding a multitude of batteries, spare parts arrive as a clock ... but my situation is different from yours.
I think that each diabetic has to choose the therapy that goes best or pleases (bombs, feathers) ... try what is yes, because just more than one is surprised and finds its golden reef.
In my case, for the moment, going to the bomb has returned me half a life.
All the best!

Thanks Cassie. My way of seeing life is not accidental. My sister supports me a lot in my debut but I am also therapist and coach.I understand a time of motivation, achievement of objectives, that the mind does not fall into limiting thoughts or beliefs, such as eliminating them but well, my specialty is smoking.Elimination of nicotine addiction with hypnosis. In any case everything is in the mind and in the internal language that you have with yourself.Mine is positive.Salu2

I know.Yesterday I was with Roche specialists/commercials for the issue of microbombs (I do not convince me much. The only "advantage" I saw, was that it does not carry the cateter cable but to see if the patch to which it goes together sticks orIt falls with a little sweat.
Otherwise without closed loop, like the others, and although they call it micro it is still a more or less flattened pump.Same long and wide, or more depending on the model, but less thick, compared to the one I have now.Namely if the patch even sleeping will take off.I see the placement zones limited. They didn't make me clear if you can bathe on the beach with her.Filling reservoir (Latoso that is) the model they are offering in Spain instead of loaded cartridge ....... they were going to sell it as always, like the panacea for improvement of quality of life, but I saw many things thatThey did not resolve me.In the end.Day by day.Salu2 and thanks

Is that they still have to improve the pumps a lot so that everything is advantages.
The important thing would be to improve the glyc and relax the mind until almost forgetting the subject.
If the pancreas worked like the thyroid, which with a pill is .., but we had to touch the craziest gland.

@antonimar it was directly proposed by my educator and endocrine. So they told me if you have good control already with feathers, they only offer it if they are involved in the disease ... minimal sensor readings a day, take care of your diet, ..... and of course if thegyzada is disastrous, almost half force you if they see you trained to take it.

Hello, I will be after summer another user of YpSOPump !!!Thing that makes me very happy. Now I have been the Diabeloop system for a couple of years and in my case, a disaster.I am right now in 7.6 and I have gone from bad to worse.Professionals do not get me and my graphs are like the rocky mountains.By this I mean that as we know each one, each one has a diabetes and not all methods or solutions are valid for all.It also depends a lot on the ways of life and routines that we each have.
I have been diabetic for 23 years and I have gone through many treatments and I can assure you that not everything is valid for everyone. In the team that we form in your day together in Diabeloop, there have been people who will change system for bad results and people who will continue because they are great.
So the main thing is to be comfortable with the option we choose and if not, support us in professionals to help us within the possibilities.

What I wanted to ask you is what Android mobile model you use, since I am a iPhone user and for the moment the MyLife app is not available to handle the pump with iOS.As it will be to use it temporarily, well, beautiful and cheap 😂.How about battery consumption?Thank you so much!!!
