Yes, it does exist for iOS, although personally I have never used it.

To answer your first question, tell you that it is an application that connects with your sensor, regardless of the one you have (free 1+myomiao, free 2, g6, etc.).It allows you to calibrate the measurements and adjust the glycemic curve to a much more realistic.
You can also do many other things, such as having customizable alarms, low glucose predictions, as well as sending readings to a connected watch or my band.
