No Reading in Reader 1 for free sensor 2-

They have to supply free sensors 1, all we have are free 2. They had told me that the reader we had served us.Today it was time to change the sensor for a new type 2. But the reader gives us reading error, he says it is not compatible.
I can't find any option in the reader to update it and we have connected it to the web but neither will vemls solution.Can you help us ??
