Hello everyone,
Recently I have been advertising from a new bracelet, called Hela, which measures blood glucose through sweat.
Does anyone know anything about this?Is it something that works?
On the website they say that pre-reservations are admitted.I guess that means that it is not yet on sale.
The web is as follows: Helawear.com
I would like to know if it could be an alternative to freestyle
Thank you!!!

At the moment there is no device that measures glucose through sweat.
There are new sensors that have already been presented but all measure glucose in the interstitial fluid.

And then, have you seen the website I have posted? Is it a scam?

Obtaining blood glucose from sweat has been studied a lot, but always with uncertain results.
In this case, they sell the bracelet for 189 USD, they do not give many details (and especially without any scientific study), only two years of study and a maximum of 5050 units in the first "batch".
I wish it wrong, but this "smells" to Timo.

Be very careful !!
Some create product websites and then disappear.
At the moment you have to continue with the products (sensors) that we know.
There are many unscrupulous people
DM1 desde Marzo 2018 (53 años). 7-10 unidades basal: Abasaglar (insulina glargina). NovoRapid. Factor 1.0/1.5.
Vivo en Alemania. CarboH total dia 70-80 gr. Deporte Gym todos dias L-V 1h-2 h

For people who are dedicated to web development, it is 30 minutes, what takes longer is to do the product in physical, because now there are free 3D programs that make you virgueries that seem real.So care and eye to patch.

Hello, no idea of this sensor.Of course the website is very cool and very modern, but, as others tell you, that does not prove anything. If you are looking for a little on Google, there seems to be a scientific basis for the correlation of glucose in sweat and blood: Link & AMP; Sourceid = Chrome & AMP; IE = UTF-8.But that does not mean that the device works, or that it does so equivalent to the acquaintances of interstitial subcutaneous blood glucose.Nor have I stopped to find out if these gentlemen present results of their clinical trials, as they should. In any case, I would recommend prudence and ask your diabetes endocrine, which is the one who knows (it is his specialty) and must guide you.
PS: As a curiosity, about 15 years ago an apparatus called Pendra, in the form of a bracelet that measured glucose without probe, for a radiation resonance or I don't know what. The device became implanted in the Danish health system. But after time, they realized that it marked badly and the dispersion of data in practice was much greater than in the clinics and ended up withdrawing it.History search in Google: Link

There is a correlation between sweat and glucose (just like there will be any liquid in the body), but the development of such a device must be quite complicated ..., the Sugarbeat sensor has been in development for years, and always with the promise to leaveto the market every year that passes, and still nothing ...

So, for now, I would not deposit many hopes in that bracelet.

I have also found it in the English store. It looks good, apparently, this project.
I have also seen another company that probably draws a device based on glucose measurements through sweat this year too.
