Russian scientists are finalizing the creation of a nanodetector to locate the presence of blood diabetes.
Researchers have used the same technologies that decrease the visibility of combat aircraft against anti -aircraft radars.
The portable detector may, in a matter of seconds, identify possible molecules that are immunogenetic markers of the presence of diabetes in the patient, said Andréi Saríchev, expert of the Institute of theoretical and Practical Electrodynamics of the Academy of Sciences of Russia to Izvestia.
While the use of this technology in war airplanes allows to reduce the presence of these in the radars, in this case the opposite reaction is generated: the sign of certain molecules and proteins is increased 10,000 or 100,000 times more than normal.
Detectors will be used with the help of portable computers and phones, which could quickly show the presence of diabetes in early states and, in the future, of heart disease.
This would allow the use of this kind of devices not only in hospitals, but also in emergency units and ambulances.
