The Lifescan company, belonging to Johnson & AMP; Johnson, has presented a new 'app' for mobile phones and tablets, 'Onetouch Reveal', which helps patients with diabetes to control their disease by organizing information about their blood glucose levelsobtained by means of meter and insulin pumps.
This application is available on devices with iOS or Android operating system and works with the 'Onetouch Selectplus Flex' and 'Onetouch Verio Flex' meters.In addition, with 'Bluetooth Smart Ready' compatible meters can also be synchronized with this tool.
Once activated, the meter wirelessly sends the blood glucose results to the 'matched' mobile device, and shows messages, tables and graphs that allow identifyto improve your control of diabetes over time.
Blood glucose results can also be accessible through the 'Onetouch Reveal' web app, also compatible with computers with both Windows and Mac operating system. In addition, the patient may send the results or reports to their doctor or nurse throughof email, SMS or take them printed to share them during consultation.
