I wanted to buy me a contour Next because it said a study that was published here recently, which were the most precise.But after seeing this, I think I will continue with those I have:

Because if that is the difference in low values, imagine what should be in high values.
And think that there are diabetics that "calibrate" the sensor with gluconometers ...

@Sherpa41:
I have a contour Next and I find it more precise than the freestyle reader.
In my case I can tell you that their values are very close to those of the sensor.

The approval standard says (simplifying): +/- 15 mg/dl for values & lt; 100 mg/dl y +/- 15% for values & gt; 100 mg/dl 95% of the time
If it had 65 mg/dl "real" the three glucometers are correct;They mark between 50 and 80. A little to the limit.
If I had 70, two would be "good" and the other ...
We will never know

I don't know what to do.I will use without day to day and those of Freestyle for when there is discrepancy between the glucometer and the sensor.To have a second opinion.
I wanted to go to Contour Next, but among this video and that in Amazon they are worth the strips € 35, compared to € 20 of those of the freestyle ... it is almost double price.

@Sherpa41, you can ask for the contour Next at the Health Center and a box of strips a month.At least that is what they give here in addition to the sensors.

Here in my case, the same SS gives myself the glucometer, the puncture and the strips box, I do not know if it is necessary or not, but ... I can say that it has good details such as that by means of an app and via Bluetot, the results are recorded in the app, gives a scale of every day, the average of 7 -14 - 30 - 90 days, etc.

In my ambulatory I think they only give contour Next so I heard the nurses the other day, when collecting the sensors.The strips are the cheapest.As € 0.5 the strip for the SS.
And as I said in another post, it is one of the most precise according to several clinical studies.
And that the margin of error is how I said before.Much greater than we think.
They have really stopped investigating in glucometers.There is no new business.Now they put sensor to all who have to measure ourselves 6 times a day
