Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and diabetic for 3 years (I'm 29).I have been reading this topic because I am having problems with the last 3-4 sensors of the Freestyle Libre 2, when I have never had any problems with them.I just put on one from a different batch, let's see if that's what it is, if not, I would value what some colleagues are saying about changing it.For people who do not wear it on the back of the arm, is it annoying or cumbersome to wear it on the thighs, chest or buttocks?Do you sleep well?On a day-to-day basis, do you notice a difference with respect to your arm?

Thank you very much in advance.

@JoseRamon, don't be upset, many of them are factory errors, Abbott has lowered the quality and they measure well below the real blood glucose level.Said by my endocrine.

I've had them on my glute for 10 years and they don't give me reading problems. In the buttock it can measure a little above the real value, so in my case I compensate a little.

Lada enero 2015.
Uso Toujeo y Novorapid.

Hello @JoseRamon,

I use Dexcom One +, I usually wear them on the inner thigh and the values are accurate. It doesn't bother, it's more discreet than on the arm, and I don't put pressure on them when sleeping (I sleep on my side).

I don't see wearing them on the chest or buttocks, but in the end each person has to find the location that suits them best.By trying you don't lose anything.

LADA 2022. Inicio insulina Abril 2025.
Toujeo, y Fiasp con NovoPen Echo Plus.
Dexcom One+
Glicosilada: 4.9

I think my problem is not the app since I don't think that all the sensors from one year are bad and they do change them, but I still don't know what value is correct since there are very large variations.

In my opinion it is a problem with my body's reaction to the sensor, but no one can tell me anything.

Thanks for your opinions.

I don't use the app because I wear hearing aids controlled by the phone and they told me at abbot that you couldn't have other elements paired on the phone so the problem is not in the app.It happens to me with all the sensors that I have used in the three years that I have been using it.readings that in some cases reach a 300% difference with the capillary.Skip the LOW alarm and be at 180 after lunch. On the other hand, the last two or three days of the sensor's supposed useful life the chaos increases. Before using them I always had my glucose below 7 since I have them I don't go below 8.

Abbott lied to you that you cannot have more than one device connected via Bluetooth to your mobile phone, I have been using the free ones since 2018 and I have never had problems with having bluetooth headphones connected apart from the sensor, Android auto in the car, which by the way I see the blood glucose on the car screen, VR glasses.

That is to say, Abbott washed his hands before having to deal with the connection problem.

I would like to know if it has happened to anyone that the Freestyle 2 sensors stop working in 5 or 6 days and, worst of all, the readings are 50, 60 and even 100 units less than the capillary, which makes it very difficult to keep track.

I have been using sensors for years, almost since the beginning of their commercialization in Spain and this last year has been exasperating.

Neither endocrinologists, nor allergists, nor nurses, nor the Abbot company give me an explanation.

Thank you and I look forward to your comments.

Failing readings almost always. That last less than 5 days.· times last year

@SolmanAre the sensors sent to you by Asisa, or do you have to go to the center to pick them up?It's a hassle for me to go get them every month, they don't send them to me because they say they are sensitive material...?

All the best.

I have to go for them, with what it means to me.In the afternoons (I leave work at 3:00 p.m.) the medical center is closed except for emergencies and depending on who I meet, they give them to me or I have to return another day, after calling the family doctor to leave a note authorizing the collection.
